About this role

Arene is Woven by Toyota's next-generation in-vehicle software platform, and its Arene Professional Services team applies the platform to real vehicle projects, giving customers project-specific design, configuration and functional extensions so that production adoption succeeds. The Embedded Software Engineer works in that team.

Based on customer requirements and the limits of vehicle systems and development environments, the engineer defines specifications, designs, implements and evaluates in-vehicle applications and features on Arene, discusses specifications, functional responsibilities and ownership boundaries with customers, uses the Arene toolchain to implement, integrate and verify customer-facing features, and evaluates the platform and tools, feeding findings back to the product teams. The team works closely with customers, partners and product developers, expects constructive feedback in both directions and requires at least three office days a week.

Engineers who can learn flexibly in a fast-paced setting and apply system engineering or software development to customer requirements through design, configuration and problem solving are sought.
