This project manager leads the development and operation of ground systems for security-related satellites that support mission-critical operations. Responsibilities include developing project plans covering schedules, resources, and risks; monitoring progress; coordinating and negotiating with customers, partner companies, and other internal and external stakeholders; reporting project status, risks, issues, and countermeasures; defining CONOPS; advancing verification and validation; preparing plans and reports; and promoting development processes that consider quality, security, and reliability.

Requirements include a science or engineering university degree, at least five years of practical experience in software or systems development projects, project-management experience, stakeholder coordination experience with government agencies or similar organizations, strong Japanese communication skills, and the ability to conduct technical discussions in English with foreign-national colleagues. Experience in regulated industries and foundational knowledge of aerospace, satellites, communications, geospatial information, data platforms, AI, software, or hardware are preferred.

This is a full-time permanent position in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, with a discretionary labor system and remote work available.
