Responsibilities include installing, setting up, and kitting systems at customer sites; conducting real-machine, new-feature, and running tests; and troubleshooting with development teams and vendors.
The engineer provides technical support and training to customers, builds management databases and operating processes for equipment, and creates deployment, software, and kitting manuals. The role also builds and operates development and bench environments, makes limited application changes such as lever applications and monitoring tools, proposes new functions, and manages issues using JIRA and Notion.
Candidates need at least three years of experience in sales engineering, pre-sales, field support, on-site technical support, network or systems-infrastructure construction, or deployment and operation of autonomous-driving, remote-operation, or robotic systems. Business-level Japanese and engineering knowledge equivalent to a technical college or university education, or relevant work experience, are required. Python or C++ development, wireless-infrastructure, embedded, control, and English conversation skills are preferred.
The position is based in Minato, Tokyo, under a hybrid arrangement requiring office attendance at least two days per week.
