Frontend Engineer

About this role

Findy is hiring an engineer for its new-business development team, which develops services for individual engineers and organizations. The main product context is Findy Conference, a platform that connects conference discovery, registration, participation, reception and data management. The service is in its launch phase and is planned to add features such as community functions that help speakers and participants connect more deeply.

The role covers the development process from discussing the service concept and requirements through design, implementation, testing and release. The primary focus is frontend design and implementation with Next.js, but the responsibilities also include feature-level discussions and requirements definition. Development is expected to proceed through hypothesis validation, with frequent communication and decisions that may change as circumstances develop. The engineer can participate in product growth from the 0-to-1 stage through the 1-to-10 stage.

The stated development languages are Ruby, TypeScript, Python and GraphQL. Frameworks and libraries include Ruby on Rails, React, Next.js, FastAPI and Apollo Client. Testing tools are RSpec, Jest, Playwright and Storybook. The infrastructure and middleware include AWS, MySQL, Redis, Docker and SendGrid. CI/CD uses GitHub Actions. Other named tools are GitHub, Claude Code, Codex, Figma, Slack, Sentry, Datadog, Findy Team+ and Findy Tools.

Findy operates services including Findy, Findy Freelance, Findy Team+, Findy Tools and Findy Conference. The team uses generative AI in development. More than 80 percent of engineers are stated to use AI agents regularly, including Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Devin. Development environments can use APIs from OpenAI and Anthropic, and the product development department discusses generative AI applications.

The work location is in Osaki, Shinagawa, Tokyo. The designated work locations may include places where remote work is performed. During the first six months after joining, attendance at the office is required at least three days per week.
