Solution Architect

A Solution Architect role in the engineering department of an IT company that handles infrastructure development/operation, ICT consulting and work-style-reform support for a major media/IP group, supporting a 'global media mix with technology' strategy. The engineering department develops and operates the group's media websites and business systems. As a solution architect, the role studies new systemization and analyzes existing systems and defines system requirements, examining and concretizing the required system image and solutions mainly from a technical perspective against customer needs, strategist-provided business plans and business challenges. Once development starts, it works with the department's architects and external vendors to drive realization of the target system. The role broadly covers overall system design (requirements definition, basic design, development-plan formulation, platform/technology/method selection), vendor coordination, answering engineers' technical questions and code review.
