Mandarake runs secondhand bookstores and collectibles shops, buying and selling manga, vintage toys, dolls, trading cards, games, music and video discs, fan-made comics (doujinshi), idol goods and cosplay costumes. Its buying service is organized by collecting category, and the company also edits and sells its own publications.
Its Nakano store has separate sections for comics, cards, dolls and cosplay, alongside the toy-focused CoCoo and the LaLaLa store in Ikebukuro. In 2026 it renovated LaLaLa, opened a new store in Omiya, Saitama, and held its ZENBU 133 auction. Headquartered in Nakano, Tokyo, it had 364 employees as of September 30, 2021.
