Food & Agricultural Materials · Chuo, Tokyo

Nitten, founded in 1919 and formerly named Nippon Beet Sugar Manufacturing, produces sugar from sugar beet grown in Hokkaido and sells it under the Suzuran brand. It handles the chain from raw-material procurement to sugar production and sales, and also makes yeast, oligosaccharides and other functional food ingredients. The group had 771 consolidated employees at the end of March 2026.

Its cattle feeds use beet pulp and molasses from sugar production together with its own yeast and oligosaccharides, with products for robotic-milking barns and grazing, and it offers feed analysis, formulation and support from company veterinarians. Its agricultural-materials business sells Paper Pot and Chain Pot seedling containers and transplanting tools, and the company also leases real estate.
