Yokogawa Electric's main business is industrial automation and control. Under its OpreX brand it supplies distributed control systems, safety instrumented systems, PLCs, pressure transmitters, process analyzers and software for plant operations, serving energy, materials and life-science industries. Its quality control systems measure the thickness, weight and color of paper, film and battery-electrode sheets during production.
Yokogawa also runs a measuring-instruments business for power, voltage, optical and other measurements, and develops industrial IoT services. As of March 31, 2026 the group had 18,313 employees and 135 subsidiaries and affiliates, operating in 63 countries.
