Yokohama Rubber, founded in Yokohama in 1917, makes passenger-car, truck and bus tires and off-highway tires for construction, mining, agricultural, forestry and industrial machinery. It built up its off-highway business by acquiring Alliance Tire Group in 2016, Aichi Tire in 2017, Trelleborg Wheel Systems in 2023 and Goodyear's mining and construction tire business in 2025.
Its Multiple Business makes hydraulic and automotive hoses and couplings, conveyor belts, marine hoses and fenders, and aircraft parts such as water tanks and lavatory modules. It also sells golf clubs under the PRGR brand.
