Project Manager, Robot Delivery Service, in the Woven City department of Woven by Toyota. The role is a full-time position with the job location in Tokyo.

The project provides innovative logistics services in Woven City in Susono, Shizuoka, using delivery robots, smart devices and simulation technology, with the aim of making the movement of goods much easier. Woven City is a test course for mobility where inventors, residents and visitors try out products and services while living in a city-shaped environment that links people, mobility and social infrastructure.

The project manager leads service operations and improvement across digital and physical touchpoints. Responsibilities include improving the products and operations of multiple services on the robotic delivery platform, clarifying product requirements, introducing improved products into field operations with an international engineering team, coordinating with Woven City stakeholders inside and outside the group, and managing and training field operators. Depending on the phase of service development, the work location may change from Tokyo to Susono, and the manager visits the site frequently, at least on a business-trip basis.

Applicants need at least five years of experience designing, launching, maintaining and improving operations for services that involve hardware, the ability to turn qualitative and quantitative observations into requirements engineers can understand, technical and communication skills, the coordination skills to balance development and operations, and business-level English and Japanese. Experience managing field operators, ROS, robot services, logistics or condominium management is welcome.
