Manage APAC transportation flows for Google hardware, focused on Japan, optimizing routes and service levels, monitoring carriers, resolving issues, and supporting launches.

About this role

Manage pre-production, B2B, B2C, B2G, inbound, and internal-transfer transportation flows for Google hardware across APAC, with a focus on Japan. Optimize network routing and service levels against delivery, cycle-time, turnaround-time, transit-compliance, and cost-per-unit KPIs.

Track carrier performance against service-level agreements, lead business reviews, resolve operational issues, expand carrier capabilities, and build strategic partnerships. Serve as the primary cross-functional escalation point, perform root-cause analysis, and refine processes to prevent recurrence. Improve APAC shipment visibility, use data insights for decisions, and build automated reporting tools. Support sustaining distribution and new-product-introduction launches while maintaining secure, compliant operations under trade and dangerous-goods regulations.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Operations, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience; one year of experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation management; experience with Japanese or global transportation networks, freight budgets, and transportation service providers; and fluent Japanese communication. English proficiency is required. Preferred qualifications include four years of experience optimizing operations through data analysis and performance metrics, and knowledge of logistics and transportation ERP systems such as TMS.
