Stockmark builds enterprise generative-AI products, and its team is working on the early growth of specialised AI agents inside Aconnect, its product for manufacturers. The agents were released recently, many improvements are already planned and more problems will emerge. Because the functions are built around generative AI and often cover work with no set process, engineers need their own understanding of customers instead of working from specifications.
The AI Product Engineer joins this early phase to plan and build features with generative AI at the core, taking ownership of assigned issues and working with stakeholders. Work can include prototyping and production development of web applications, prompt and context engineering, building and improving search and RAG, building data platforms, operating and monitoring the SaaS system and answering inquiries, and technical PR such as blogs and talks. Not every item is expected.
The team of about 20 engineers includes PMM, PdM and designers in each agent team. The stack covers Ruby on Rails, Python, Vue.js, TypeScript, AWS, OpenSearch, Aurora MySQL and LLMs such as OpenAI.Full remote work within Japan is possible.
