Product Manager

About this role

The Product Manager connects customer needs, business objectives, and development work for a compliance and AI product portfolio. The role covers the full cycle from discovering customer and business problems through requirements definition, project delivery, release, and post-release improvement. It also involves clarifying what the product should deliver and helping determine how it can be implemented.

Product planning responsibilities include using customer problems, market needs, and business strategy to plan features and products; organizing and prioritizing customer and internal requests; identifying problems through user interviews and quantitative analysis; and documenting product requirements, including the reasons for building a product and the outcomes it should provide.

For project delivery, the role manages development schedules and risks, aligns requirements with engineers, designers, sales, and customer success, builds agreement among stakeholders, and prepares and supports release plans. After release, the Product Manager designs and monitors KPIs, proposes improvements using usage data and customer feedback, verifies the effects of releases, continues product improvements, and works to improve the product development process.

The company develops solutions in the compliance and AI domain to address business fraud and prevent problems before they occur. The position is intended to respond to increasing input from customers, sales activities, and changing market needs while strengthening the connection between the customer, business, and development sides.

Claude Code, Cursor, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot are available as standard generative AI tools for all employees regardless of role. Other AI tools may be considered when requested.

The development team includes two AI engineers, two application development engineers, one QA engineer, one Product Manager, two product designers, and one design engineer, including contractors. The broader working environment includes members with experience in fraud investigations, AI engineering, full-stack engineering, and QA.

The work location is in Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Remote work is available, but because the team also meets in person, the posting generally targets people living in the Tokyo metropolitan area or people who can relocate there. The stated scope of possible workplace changes includes locations designated by the company, including places used for remote work.

The selection process consists of document screening, two or three online interviews, a reference interview with two people who previously worked with the candidate, and a final interview at the head office.
