DX Project Manager (Smart Factory and SCM)

This role manages consulting and systems integration projects for manufacturing plant operations and supply chain management. Responsibilities cover project management from proposal activities through project execution, customer discussions, coordination between teams, and collaboration with sales departments.

The work focuses on two types of projects. The first is core-system renewal using IFS Cloud ERP to support data-driven manufacturing transformation. The second is digitalization of plant operations and SCM, including manufacturing execution systems using AVEVA and the use of operational data.

For the主任-level position, applicants must have at least five years of experience in one of the following areas: managing or leading SI projects from proposal through execution, including customer negotiations and team coordination; business-improvement consulting in manufacturing; or product introductions, proposals, or product support for manufacturing plant operations or SCM IT implementations. Applicants must also have at least one of the following skills: customer and field negotiation, team communication and leadership, business improvement using AI or digital technologies, or team-member development.

For the professional-level position, equivalent experience of at least ten years is required in one of the listed areas. Experience with SI projects for manufacturing plant operations or SCM involving MES, ERP, or data utilization is preferred for both levels.

The role works with executives, operational personnel, customers, sales staff, and internal stakeholders. It also involves participation in organizational activities such as promoting AI use in projects and internal work, sharing knowledge, and developing junior staff. The stated career paths include organizational leadership and specialization in smart-factory or SCM digital-transformation implementation.

The expected employment arrangement is permanent full-time employment, at the主任 through professional level, equivalent to department-manager level. Annual compensation is approximately 6.8 to 9.3 million JPY for主任 and approximately 9.3 to 12 million JPY for professional level. The monthly salary ranges are approximately 440,000 to 610,000 JPY and 580,000 to 800,000 JPY respectively, with the stated conditions subject to prior compensation and company rules.

The position is based in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Remote work is possible for more than half of the week, generally accounting for approximately 60% to 70% depending on the customer and project phase. During approximately the first month, attendance is expected to be the main work arrangement, at around 80%. Business travel occurs because customers are located throughout Japan.
