As an IAM Engineer you design and implement the ID platform, next-generation multi-tenant management platform and related applications; provide technical advisory to teams during ID integration and tenant migration; research and implement modern auth technologies (e.g. Passkeys); and strengthen security and governance. Tech stack: Ruby on Rails, Ruby, Kotlin, GraphQL, gRPC; MySQL, Kafka, Redis; AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog. The team is multinational and works primarily in English day to day. Required: experience with authentication systems / identity providers (OIDC, OAuth, SAML, SSO, SCIM); strong Kotlin or Ruby; database design; cloud infrastructure design/deployment; 7+ years of web application development; a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field; and the ability to relocate to Japan and work from the Tokyo office at least twice a week. Preferred: Okta/Azure AD/Entra ID operation, IAM consolidation, microservices, DevOps/SRE, containers, AI-assisted development.
