The researcher develops NLP and machine-learning functions for the products, builds methods that structure news articles using named-entity extraction and text classification, constructs business-useful knowledge graphs from news, develops article recommendation methods, and researches summarisation and text generation across news, papers, patents and business documents. The researcher has access to a news database of more than 100 million articles and to usage logs from large-company customers. The Research division has nine members, three of them in the LLM unit, and works mainly in Python.
