About this role
This long-term internship offers engineering work across Pixiv’s internally developed services. Depending on the area, interns develop and improve features, existing functionality, performance, and operations. Frontend work includes UI planning and design with designers, markup, performance optimization, and using user feedback and other data to propose improvements. Backend work covers application design and development from planning and specifications through feature delivery, user-experience and performance improvements, and analysis and response to operational issues. Mobile work includes Android and iOS app design, development, operation, feature discussions, CI/CD, and test-environment improvements.
Other possible areas include delivery technology, authentication and authorization, payments, advertising, company-wide data engineering, machine learning, and 3D/xR/Unity. Responsibilities may include system design and technology selection, middleware and operational web-application development, security improvements, payment-method implementation and fraud-risk reduction, ad-delivery and internal ad-server improvements, ELT pipeline development and data-quality controls, recommendation-system development and model integration, and development of 3D-character products including VRoid Studio, VRoid Hub, VRoid SDK, and ChatRoid.
