About this role
This senior AWS Solutions Architect role supports enterprise cloud migration and application modernization, connecting customer objectives with AWS architectures and bringing customer feedback to service and product teams. It assesses on-premises environments and designs scalable, cost-optimized AWS targets; develops migration plans from workload discovery and dependency mapping through wave planning, cutover and post-migration optimization; and advises on VMware-to-AWS, mainframe exit, database migration and containerization. The role also creates cloud-native reference architectures and shares technical practices with customers and internal teams. Required experience includes architecting or deploying enterprise cloud or virtualization solutions; designing Linux/Unix and Windows infrastructure with recommendations for servers, load balancing, high availability/disaster recovery and storage; and 8+ years across virtualization, containers, storage, databases and application modernization. Candidates must also communicate across technical and nontechnical audiences, including executives or clients.
