SRE Engineer

SmartBank offers OneBank, a household-budget app paired with a Visa prepaid card, so reliability and security matter for money that customers deposit and spend daily. With growing users, it created a dedicated SRE role to solve performance problems and build a base that raises engineers' productivity while keeping development agile.

The SRE designs, builds and operates scalable infrastructure behind the product, using Infrastructure as Code to automate. This includes strengthening stability and maintainability for busy periods such as the start of the month and payday, taking part in projects from finding infrastructure problems through design, implementation, release and tuning, building monitoring to handle and prevent incidents, and designing infrastructure security around PCI DSS compliance. Examples are container infrastructure on AWS ECS Fargate, Terraform, monitoring with Datadog, performance measurement with CloudWatch and New Relic, and tools that raise developers' efficiency.

Short term the goal is infrastructure and operations optimisation; long term, service performance and reliability.
