The role works directly with the Google Cloud Infrastructure product to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments. It assesses legacy application environments, recommends prioritization roadmaps for infrastructure and application modernization, and advises on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
The position is part of the Google Cloud Platform team. The team’s products operate across infrastructure, applications, devices, and hardware, and its customers include developers, businesses of different sizes, educational institutions, and government agencies. The consultant engages with customer technical stakeholders and executive leaders and works with Sales teams.
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; at least six years of cloud infrastructure sales experience in a customer-facing role; experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms; and experience with technical conversations, demonstrations, prototyping, or customer workshops. Fluent Japanese and English are required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include experience driving delivery and consumption plans for complex, cross-pillar cloud solutions and experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders. This includes adapting messages to the audience, asking strategic questions, and leading conversations that support value realization and business opportunities. The work location is Tokyo, Japan.
