ADEKA's business rests on three pillars: chemicals, foods and life sciences. Its chemical portfolio includes polymer additives such as polyolefin additives, PVC plasticizers and stabilizers and flame retardants, along with electronic and IT materials, functional polymers and other specialty chemicals for industrial manufacturers.
Under RISU BRAND, which began with margarine in 1929, the food business supplies margarine, shortening, frying oils, chocolate fats, whipping cream and fillings for bakeries, confectioners and food makers. Life sciences, strengthened by consolidating Nihon Nohyaku in 2018, covers agrochemicals, agricultural materials and pharmaceutical and veterinary products. The group had 5,434 consolidated employees as of March 31, 2026.
