Advantest is a semiconductor test and measurement company. Its automated test equipment checks the functions, electrical characteristics, performance and durability of SoCs, memory chips and other devices during wafer and final-package testing. Semiconductor and electronic-component manufacturers are its primary customers.
The company earns most of its net sales from SoC and memory test systems. It also sells handlers, device interfaces, system-level test products and metrology equipment, while providing maintenance and other customer services. In FY2025, ended March 31, 2026, the Test System segment generated ¥1,019.4 billion of Advantest’s ¥1,128.6 billion in consolidated net sales.
