Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings is the holding company of the Isetan Mitsukoshi group. Department stores are its core business, making up about 80 percent of group sales, under four names: Mitsukoshi, Isetan, Maruiimai and Iwataya. The group runs 20 department stores in Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu and 24 overseas, mainly in Southeast Asia; its flagships are Isetan Shinjuku, Mitsukoshi Nihombashi and Mitsukoshi Ginza.
Other segments are credit and finance, through the card issuer MI Card and the MI Tomonokai shopping club, real estate, including interior design and renovation, and related businesses such as staffing, training, IT systems, logistics and travel. The group had 10,948 employees in the year ended March 2026.
