LeapMind

Edge AI · Semiconductor IP · Machine Vision · Tokyo, Japan

LeapMind was a Tokyo edge-AI company that developed compact deep-learning systems for devices with limited power and computing capacity. Its main product, Efficiera, was an ultra-low-power CNN inference accelerator IP for FPGAs and ASICs, supported by model-quantization tools. It also developed Findra, software for running AI-based visual inspection on PCs and tablets.

The company served semiconductor vendors, product designers and manufacturers, earning revenue through accelerator-IP licensing, related engineering and software subscriptions. LeapMind decided to dissolve effective July 31, 2024, and its former official website is no longer available; this page therefore describes its historical business rather than an active employer.
