Locus Blue

Geospatial Software · Construction Technology · Cloud Software

Locus Blue is a Tokyo software company developing tools for geospatial and construction workflows. Its main product, ScanX, allows construction companies, surveyors and local governments to process, analyze, measure and share 3D point-cloud data in a browser. AI tools classify terrain, vegetation, structures and noise, and generate terrain models and 3D meshes.

The company earns revenue from ScanX subscriptions, with plans based on data capacity and features, plus initial fees. It also offers Kanly, a search product for construction specifications and standards. Locus Blue became a consolidated subsidiary of map-data company Zenrin in April 2024.
