MELTIN MMI is a Tokyo-based company working on cyborg technology, which it describes as connecting bodies and machines. Its business combines bio-signal processing with robotics, and it researches and commercializes robot equipment and body-extension devices, including avatar robots such as the MELTANT series.
In April 2024 the company agreed to transfer its MELTz hand-rehabilitation business to FrontAct, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Pharma, with the transfer scheduled for June 2024. MELTIN states its vision as a world where anyone can be active regardless of age or physical condition.
