SOMPO Holdings is the holding company of the Sompo Group and is headquartered in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo. The group is centered on domestic property and casualty insurance, provided mainly by Sompo Japan, and on an overseas insurance business. As of March 31, 2025, it had overseas subsidiaries, branches and representative offices in 29 countries and regions. These insurance businesses are grouped as SOMPO P&C.
Under SOMPO Wellbeing, Sompo Himawari Life sells life insurance, including medical, cancer and variable insurance products, and SOMPO Care provides nursing-care services. The group also develops services that address health, nursing-care and post-retirement financial concerns, and runs other businesses beyond insurance.
