Toyota Motor Corporation, founded in 1937 and headquartered in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, produces and sells motor vehicles. For the year ended March 31, 2026 it reported sales revenues of ¥50.68 trillion, and it had about 391,000 consolidated employees at that date.
Its financial-services arm, Toyota Financial Services Corporation, provides mainly auto loans and leasing in more than 35 countries and regions, and has partnered with ride-hailing companies including Uber and Grab. Toyota says it has also grown into housing, communications, marine and other fields beyond automobile manufacturing.
