UACJ was formed in October 2013 through the merger of Furukawa-Sky and Sumitomo Light Metal Industries. It manufactures and sells rolled, cast and forged products and processed goods made from aluminum and other non-ferrous metals and alloys, including automotive panel materials, brazing sheets for heat exchangers and high-strength sheets for aircraft.
Its ALmitas+ range adds functions to aluminum materials, such as highly adhesive surface-treated sheets, high-strength formable alloys and MONOBRAZE filler-free brazing. ALmitas+ SMART products cut the use of energy-intensive primary aluminum through recycling, and since April 2023 include a mass-balance offering.
