Valor Holdings is the holding company of the Valor Group, which began with supermarkets and added drugstores in 1984, pet shops in 1988, home centers in 1990 and sports clubs in 1998. Its supermarket companies include Valor, Tachiya and Domy; Chubu Yakuhin runs drugstores and dispensing pharmacies, and the home-center business includes Daiyu Eight, Home Center Valor and Time.
Other group companies make prepared foods and bakery products, process meat and grow tomatoes and mushrooms, while Chubu Ryutsu and others handle logistics. Axtos runs the sports clubs, and the group also has credit card and cleaning businesses. Head-office functions are in Tajimi, Gifu, and the company is listed on the TSE Prime and Nagoya Premier markets.
