About this role

This full-time analyst is assigned to the logistics and manufacturing business division. The role establishes and operates a recurring system for monitoring external changes that affect spot-work supply and demand, then translates findings into decision support for executives and department leaders.

Responsibilities include defining information sources and indicators for weekly scans of global developments, macroeconomic conditions, domestic topics, legal changes, and policy trends. The analyst designs repeatable collection, aggregation, and insight-generation workflows, using generative AI and LLMs to automate information gathering, summarization, and initial organization.

The role connects macro indicators such as employment and labor supply-demand, consumer and service-sector trends, minimum wages, and competitor indicators with logistics and manufacturing metrics including job postings, utilization rates, and matching. It analyzes changes through correlation, seasonality, and contribution analysis, identifies factors and warning thresholds, and prepares weekly reports for executive and department-head audiences.

The analyst extracts data from databases such as BigQuery, performs aggregation and visualization using SQL and BI tools, and develops insights for sales and proposal activities. The position also supports strategy handoff by sharing analytical frameworks and decision criteria so business leaders can independently interpret changes and make strategic decisions.

Required qualifications include approximately two to four years of relevant experience in business planning, corporate planning, strategic planning, data analysis, or equivalent work at an operating company. Candidates must be able to independently extract, aggregate, visualize, and turn data into presentation materials; integrate quantitative and qualitative information into decision-relevant insights; interpret economic, social-statistical, and labor-market data; and prepare business documentation for management. Experience with logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, BigQuery, Python, time-series analysis, and generative-AI-enabled research or reporting is preferred.

The position is based in Minato, Tokyo, with other company-designated locations possible. Standard hours are 9:30–18:30 under a flextime system with core hours of 9:30–15:30. Attendance is generally required five days per week. The posting states annual compensation of JPY 8,000,000–12,000,000, a three-month probationary period, annual holidays of 120 days, a two-day weekend, paid leave, social insurance, commuting support up to JPY 50,000 per month, and performance-based salary reviews twice yearly.
