Product Planning and Systems Integration Engineer

This role supports system integration in the development department for the ZERO small rocket. The engineer works closely with the ZERO demonstrator system manager and serves as a technical hub across propulsion, structures, avionics, ground facilities and other development teams.

The main responsibilities are to clarify specifications that are still under consideration, understand the background and intent of requirements established by management, and communicate them clearly to engineers in each development group. The role also identifies where proposed specifications create bottlenecks in design or manufacturing, coordinates disagreements between departments, and helps establish practical resolutions.

The engineer documents and visualizes specifications and coordination results using documents, diagrams and 3D models. Simple calculations are used to check and verify the theoretical validity of specifications. The role also evaluates whether finalized specifications are realistic from the perspective of assembly, test-site activities and launch-site operations, including how they will actually be used in the field.

After joining, the initial focus is on resolving issues with the first vehicle and coordinating undecided matters. Once the engineer has developed an understanding of the rocket's overall system, the role is expected to lead overall optimization in development of the second vehicle and later vehicles. Experience in product planning or project management in the automotive industry, or experience viewing multiple systems across the heavy-industry sector, is stated as relevant to this position.
