The Plant Development Engineer will support implementation of TBM’s proprietary CCU technology in demonstration and commercial plants. The role covers basic design and requirements definition, with responsibility extending through detailed design and plant operation as an owner’s engineer.
Responsibilities include feasibility studies based on chemical engineering knowledge, including material-balance and energy-balance calculations and economic evaluation. The engineer will conduct technical discussions with EPC companies based on specifications, support project management, and assist with acceptance of deliverables during FEED and detailed-design phases. The role also supports instructions for process optimization.
Applicants may come from any industry or occupation if they have experience in basic design, technical negotiations or business discussions with EPC companies, a background in chemical engineering, or at least three years of experience in process design or plant engineering. Experience designing or commissioning reactors and separation or purification processes is welcomed. Experience in carbon circulation, hydrogen, or decarbonization projects is also welcomed, as is the ability to understand and construct process flows using material balance, heat balance, and fluid calculations.
