Store DX Field Engineer

This field engineer role supports store and facility operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment and services for group companies. Work is generally performed in two-person teams at assigned sites, with projects obtained by group sales teams and carried out according to customer requirements.

Responsibilities include wiring, installation, repair, and maintenance for store solution services. Equipment may include wired BGM and other audio systems, security cameras, POS registers, digital signage, and serving robots. The role also covers communications construction, including coaxial cable, LAN, optical fiber, and Wi-Fi wireless communications infrastructure. Electrical work includes LED lighting and solar power-related systems in buildings, stores, and residences, together with related maintenance.

Applicants are expected to be interested in developing practical technical skills, supporting spatial presentation and store operations, and working with network facilities such as Wi-Fi and LAN. Experience in electrical, communications, or construction work is welcomed. First- or second-class electrician or telecommunications engineer qualifications are also welcomed, but prior experience is not required. The employer states that motivated candidates without experience may be considered.

The position is based at one of several Tokyo locations in Shinagawa, Taito, Chuo, Sumida, Tachikawa, Toshima, Shinjuku, Machida, or Musashino. Work is primarily within the assigned area, and long-distance business trips are uncommon. The standard working example is 9:30 to 18:00, with a flextime system without core hours, a standard seven-and-a-half-hour workday, and a 60-minute break. Construction work may occur on holidays or at night depending on the project; flextime, staggered hours, substitute holidays, or time off on another day are used for adjustment.
