Teams are about to be merged and reorganised, so the company is hiring a VPoE to design the engineering organisation, its systems and culture, reporting at the level of the CTO and CEO, and to link technology and business.
The VPoE sets and carries out the medium- and long-term strategy for engineering and its hiring, including recruiting PR; designs team structure and roles and the evaluation and career-path systems; supports technical and organisational decisions for new and existing products; works with the CTO, product managers and business heads on measures to raise product value; and plans and runs initiatives to raise engagement and build culture. The engineering organisation, excluding research, is about 50 people, with roughly 30 in the SaaS division and 20 in the PaaS division. The stack includes Vue.js, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Python, Aurora MySQL, Elasticsearch and AWS.
