AI Application Engineer

Dwango is hiring for two related roles under one posting: an AI Application Engineer and an in-house AI Adoption Lead. The company wants to bring AI into the group's many business areas to build new services and improve features, and to reduce routine work so employees can focus on more creative tasks.

The AI Application Engineer evaluates and verifies new AI technology through prototyping, builds working demo applications for real business problems with feedback cycles, and designs and implements AI applications for production together with business departments. Projects are often solo and new, with free choice of language and framework. The AI Adoption Lead analyses each department's problems, sets the AI roadmap, builds shared knowledge and best practice, designs training and a community, plans cross-department projects and measures the effects.

For the engineer, applicants need app development with LLM or similar AI services, development and operation on a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or GCP, container or serverless experience and short development cycles. For the adoption lead, they need experience driving business reform with AI or digital technology, cross-organisation project management, training design, data analysis and change management.
