DataCurrent, a data-consulting unit of CARTA HOLDINGS, hires this role to work end-to-end on clients' data-utilization and system-renewal projects — from upstream requirements definition through implementation to delivery, bridging non-engineer clients (executives, business units) and development teams as a core project member.
Responsibilities: define requirements and analysis design for data projects with non-engineer client stakeholders; extract and cleanse large datasets and design/operate data marts using SQL and Python; build and embed BI dashboards (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) covering management/sales KPIs and customer health scores; validate initiative effectiveness and build predictive models using statistics, machine learning, and causal inference; and run generative-AI (LLM) proofs-of-concept to automate work and speed analysis, leading in-house data democratization.
Required: 2+ years hands-on experience extracting, processing, and analyzing client data across tools/languages; SQL experience (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or other RDBs) for queries and data-mart creation; Python or R experience for data cleansing, statistical analysis, or ML model implementation; and experience defining requirements for and building BI dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, etc.). Preferred: analyst/SE/data-consultant experience at a major IT, research, data venture, or consulting firm; cloud data-platform (AWS, GCP) selection/introduction or ETL design/operation experience; and experience leading generative-AI automation or data-democratization initiatives.
Full-time, based in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo, with a super-flextime system (flexible hours 6:00-22:00, no core time).
