DevOps Lead Candidate

This role sits on the DevOps team for exaBase Studio, a no-code AI development platform for building data-processing workflows with real-time collaborative editing. The DevOps Lead designs, automates, and maintains cloud infrastructure, manages and operates CI/CD pipelines, and develops tools and best practices so other engineering teams can deploy exaBase Studio services smoothly. The role also leads projects spanning multiple departments, working closely with the development team and business stakeholders. The team currently consists of 4 engineers and an engineering manager and includes international members who use English daily; Tokyo office attendance is required once a week. Requirements: 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, SRE, infrastructure engineer, or solutions architect; experience building and automating infrastructure on AWS or Azure; knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Chef, Packer, or Terraform; knowledge of version control, CI/CD, automation, orchestration, and configuration management; and web application development experience with any framework. Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and conversational English are required. Preferred: Kubernetes operations experience, familiarity with additional cloud platforms, and prior experience leading a team as a tech lead. Annual salary is 7.08-10.8 million yen, paid in 12 installments, with overtime allowance beyond 45 hours and a flex or discretionary-labor work arrangement depending on duties.
