Ascent Robotics is a Tokyo-based developer of AI software and digital twins for industrial robotics. Its technology trains object-detection models on simulated data, infers grasp poses, checks them for collisions and plans reachable robot motions, so robots can pick items in logistics and manufacturing settings.
Its digital assets are 3D models carrying metadata such as material, texture, centre of gravity, curvature and package text. In March 2025 it formed a capital and business alliance with Alfresa to apply a pharmaceutical digital twin to medicine logistics and medical-field operations.
