Nippon Coke & Engineering

Coke, Industrial Fuels, Resource Recycling & Powder-Processing Machinery · Koto, Tokyo

Nippon Coke & Engineering, founded in 1889 and based in Toyosu, Tokyo, makes blast-furnace coke and foundry coke, plus general-use coke for non-ferrous refining, lime burning and other uses. Its plants burn gas derived from coking coal and generate their own electricity from heat recovered when the coke is quenched.

The fuel and resource recycling business supplies coal and petroleum coke through an integrated chain covering shipping, storage and coal-ash recycling, and also works with palm kernel shell. The chemical machinery business sells FM Mixers and Attritor fine grinders and proposes powder-processing methods. The group had 983 employees at the end of March 2026.
