Nippon Television Holdings is the certified broadcasting holding company of the Nippon TV group. Its core subsidiary, Nippon Television Network, began Japan's first commercial television broadcasts in 1953, and the group also includes the satellite channels BS Nippon and CS Nippon.
The group runs the Hulu video service in Japan through HJ Holdings and owns the animation studios Studio Ghibli and Tatsunoko Production. GYOKURO STUDIO develops programme formats for international markets. Outside media, the group operates TIPNESS fitness clubs and has added companies such as la belle vie and JCG.
