Noile-Immune Biotech was founded in 2015 as a venture from Japan's National Cancer Center and Yamaguchi University. Using PRIME technology licensed exclusively from Yamaguchi University, it develops gene-modified immune cell therapies for solid tumors, such as CAR-T and TCR-T, and gene therapies such as in vivo CAR-T. The company had 23 employees at the end of December 2025.
It combines in-house drug discovery with joint pipelines in which PRIME is licensed to or co-developed with partners, including Adaptimmune, Autolus and Chugai Pharmaceutical. Its in-house candidate NIB103, developed with Takara Bio in Japan, is in a phase I clinical trial; all of its programs remain investigational. The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth market.
