NS United Kaiun provides international marine transportation and related services. It carries iron ore and coking coal for steelmakers around the world, along with coal, grains, industrial salt and LPG, and its subsidiaries in Singapore, London and the US arrange combined voyages such as raw materials from Asia to India and grains from Brazil to Asia.
In tramp shipping it has carried steel products since 1966, combining shipments of steel to the US and Asia with bulk cargoes from those regions, and it also moves nonferrous metals, fertilizers, cement, limestone and biomass fuel. As of March 31, 2026, the group fleet had 130 ocean-going and 81 coastal vessels, and it had 669 consolidated employees.
