SHIFT Inc., founded in 2005 and headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, grew out of software quality assurance and testing. It now covers the whole cycle from IT and DX strategy consulting and requirements definition to systems development, testing, maintenance and operations. Its AI test solution "Nemuranai" applies SHIFT's testing methods with AI, and it also offers quality assurance for generative AI.
Other services include modernization of legacy systems using AI analysis, AI-based back-office outsourcing, and cybersecurity, with 16,546 security engagements including assessments, monitoring and consulting as of December 2025. Group companies cover web production, offshore development and testing in Vietnam, IT recruitment and other fields. The group had 15,270 consolidated employees in fiscal 2025.
