Showa Sangyo, established in 1936, processes grains into food ingredients and animal feed. Its flour-milling business makes wheat flour for bread, cakes and noodles, premixes and pasta, and related bakery operations make frozen bread dough and confectionery. Its vegetable-oil business uses soybeans, canola, corn and rice bran, and also sells soy protein and frozen foods such as takoyaki.
Corn processing yields starch, glucose, high-fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners for drinks, confectionery, bread and industrial uses. By-products such as bran, soybean meal and gluten feed go into compound feed for poultry, pigs, cattle and fish, and the group also produces eggs. It runs grain warehousing and real estate leasing and had 2,927 consolidated employees on March 31, 2026.
