Wedge Holdings grew out of a book-editing business and today runs a content business covering publishing, games, music and media. Its production division takes on commissioned work for major publishers and game companies, and the group also plans card games, produces and distributes its own content, and makes merchandise and toys based on it. It promotes Japanese content in overseas markets.
Content earnings come from commissioned production and royalties. The group holds an equity stake in Group Lease PCL, whose digital finance business it reports as an equity-method affiliate, and it is developing a travel business with group companies. Other group companies work in finance, sports, rubber and food.
