Value Advisor Expert

About this role

Based in Tokyo, this regular full-time Value Advisor Expert role is a senior, customer-facing position. It works with CEO, CIO, CFO and CHRO-level stakeholders to assess strategic priorities, transformation objectives and opportunities to create measurable value across the enterprise. The role leads executive engagements, shapes executive agendas and builds long-term relationships with executive sponsors.

It prepares business cases for executives and boards using financial and non-financial measures. Value Management responsibilities include supporting value-based GO/NO-GO decisions, defining clear targets for transformation initiatives, measuring value realization and guiding continuous improvement. The role also partners with SAP sales teams on account strategies, strategic deals and pipeline acceleration, and leads complex engagements involving cross-functional SAP teams and customer stakeholders.

The work requires strong financial and business analysis, including the ability to examine financial statements, mid-term business plans, integrated reports and executive KPIs and translate complex analysis into clear executive narratives. Candidates need 15 or more years of experience in enterprise roles, management consulting, or digital or business transformation, along with proven engagement with CEO, CIO, CFO and CHRO stakeholders, executive presence and excellent communication skills. Experience with SAP solutions is strongly preferred.

The Value Advisor applies SAP global value methodologies, frameworks and tools, keeps current with methods and tools developed by global SAP teams and the Value Advisory community, and incorporates new approaches. The role calls for listening, cross-functional collaboration, adapting communication to stakeholder needs, identifying issues, mobilizing stakeholders, delivering quick wins and turning them into repeatable practices. It also expects individual initiative that creates organizational impact beyond personal contribution.
