Construction Management

The role manages sales and construction for repair and renewal projects at water-treatment plants, including wastewater treatment facilities for night soil and drainage from general-waste final disposal sites. As the prime contractor and site representative, the employee handles the process from sales and construction planning through completion.

Responsibilities include construction management, cost management, preparation of safety-related documents and other materials, coordination with contractors and clients, equipment inspections and surveys, test-run adjustments, and explaining equipment operation to customers. Additional work includes technical sales, budget preparation, bidding, issuing purchase specifications, proposal sales, and technical responses.

Applicants must hold an ordinary driver's license and meet at least one of the following conditions: experience in construction management, a construction management engineer qualification in civil engineering, piping or electrical work, graduation from a mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or other engineering program, or knowledge of water treatment. Experience with pump or piping construction and a chief supervising engineer qualification for machinery and equipment installation are welcomed.

The position belongs to the Tokyo Technical Construction Section of the East Japan Water Treatment Engineering Department. The business covers construction, operation and maintenance of water-treatment and waste-treatment facilities, with work focused on repair and maintenance of environmental plants.

Travel covers the Kanto and Koshinetsu area, including Niigata and Shizuoka. Trips generally last from several days to several weeks and occur approximately two or three times per month; nearby assignments may be handled as day trips.

Home working is available once employees are accustomed to the work. The position is full-time and permanent, with a six-month probationary period and no change in pay during probation.
