The architect prepares basic and detailed design documents, including general arrangement drawings, section drawings, structural planning drawings and specifications. The role also creates 3D models of process equipment located inside buildings and coordinates integrated models covering blankets, divertors, tritium management systems, heat-exchange equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, and electrical equipment.
Additional duties include responding to the Building Standards Act, Fire Service Act and nuclear-related regulations, preparing documents for government applications, and conducting technical coordination and vendor management with general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. Overseas projects may involve design decisions, local coordination, technical specification discussions with overseas customers and manufacturers, and installation or testing support mainly in Europe and North America, including overseas business travel.
Required qualifications are a first-class architect license, at least three years of practical experience in architectural work, completion of the registered managing architect course, and the ability to create architectural drawings using 2D CAD such as AutoCAD. Intermediate English, 3D CAD experience, and experience with architectural BIM tools such as Rebro or Revit are welcome.
The position is full-time and paid on a monthly salary basis, with annual compensation of 4,000,000 to 6,000,000 JPY. Working hours are 9:00 to 18:00 with a one-hour break; flextime may apply depending on business needs. The workplace is in Ota, Tokyo, with work possible at the Tokyo satellite office in Marunouchi from June 2026.
