Water Treatment Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

This role manages maintenance of submerged membrane water-treatment equipment at facilities operated by government agencies and plant manufacturers. The equipment treats industrial wastewater from places such as beverage and food factories, as well as domestic wastewater. The work is split approximately evenly between desk work and maintenance activities.

Desk responsibilities include coordinating inspection dates between customers and partner companies, setting inspection items, planning work processes, preparing reports, managing equipment through a remote monitoring system, and attending regular internal meetings. On-site responsibilities include parts replacement, water-quality surveys, directing partner companies during inspection and specialist work, and meeting with customers. Maintenance is mainly scheduled periodic inspection work, and partner companies carry out much of the physical work under direction from this role.

The position works with customers, Kubota as the parent company, and external maintenance partners. The product is Kubota's submerged membrane unit, a membrane filtration system that separates activated sludge from treated water. The company manufactures and maintains these units as part of its water-infrastructure business.

Applicants must have graduated from high school or an equivalent level of education and hold an ordinary driver's license; an AT-limited license is accepted. Training begins with learning the equipment and work procedures through practical experience. Employees with relevant experience are expected to take about one year to become able to handle the full range of work, while inexperienced employees may take two to three years. Customer accounts are gradually transferred after the employee can conduct inspections independently.

It is a regular employee position with a three-month probationary period, during which pay and working conditions do not change. Sudden or nighttime call-outs are generally not expected.

Maintenance assignments may require day trips or overnight business trips and can last two days or more; the frequency varies by month. Remote work is available when office attendance is not necessary, including after a business trip or when site work finishes in half a day, subject to attending the office when instructed. Because this is a general-track position, transfers to another company location may occur.
